In 2013, less than half of U.S. high school graduates were prepared for college-level math, yet the twenty-first century work force had already evolved into a STEM crazed setting, meaning students all over the nation were unable to reach their fullest potentials.
Recognizing the severity of this problem, the Silicon Valley Math Circle was created - SVMC is where high school students gather to teach motivated students in underserved schools of the Bay Area.

Hi! I'm Emily, a junior from Cupertino. I developed an interest in business at the start of my high school career when I joined Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), a club on campus. By creating an organization like SVMC, I hope to not only offer more opportunities to disadvantaged students, but also sharpen my own entrepreneurial skills. Feel free to email my team or me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
My name is Ruhi and I am a junior at Monta Vista High School. I developed an interest in STEM in 7th grade, when I began participating in math competitions throughout the Bay Area. By being a part of SVMC, I hope to increase interest in math among elementary and middle school students. In addition, I am an officer of my school's Science Olympiad team, as well as a part of my school's soccer team. In my free time, I enjoy running, listening to music, coding, and baking.
